I do not remember when I have lastly seen such a breathtaking blue sky like this. The place is on the hillside of Koli Mountainin, East-Finland, taken in February, just last week.

November. Here is a nearing winter storm in Helsinki, Finland.  Some bird watchers have gathered to the coast with telescopes.

Just after a thunderstorm and just after the sun had gone down, I saw these colourful clouds.  The phenomen was visible only a couple of minutes, then it was over!

                    

The most fantastic celestial performance is the
Aurora Borealis!  With green, yellow and red colours. Best seen in January-March. This show taken in August.

                            

                           

                                               

This is my first participation in the Skywatch Friday. Hope it will be lucky!
To day, a couple of hours ago the sun was going down.  For some minutes the sky was scarlet red, like firering.
